Post by: eye30 on September 11, 2014, 16:12:13
After months of speculation, Apple has finally taken the wrappers off its long-awaited wearable device.

The Apple Watch will take on a growing number of so-called smartwatches, which link to smartphones to allow users to see their mobile notifications on their wrist and track their movements via built-in sensors.

Here are the answers to some of the more common questions about this new device.

It will be interesting to see the final release version of this product and how much it will retail for here in Australia.

I wonder how easy the screen is to view when outside, particularly in bright sunlight. My iPhone 5S is pretty much useless under such conditions (I've yet to see any color LCD based screen that works effectively outdoors).

I've got a Pebble watch which uses a different sort of LCD technology. E-Paper or E-Ink, some name like that. Similar to my Kindle E-Book reader which work perfectly outdoors.
