Hello,
does anybody know the procedure to remove the 3rd/center brake light in the 08 FD? The plastic on mine is broken, and i see a wee bit of rust under/on the edge of it, and want to replace and fix it.
(http://i.imgur.com/TEu6T99.jpg) <- this is the light I'm talking about).
I see three black parts, which seem to be for the screws from behind, and one hose for the washer on the image, but have no idea what to remove on the hatch, to get to those parts.

I think this has been posted before.
Not sure but may be it is prised out

This is why we have a search button

I've tried using the search, but all I've found are the tail light removal instructions (back lights, left and right), but no data on the center light... i just can't find the right combination of keywords to find the right thread(s)
-
I also need this info as mine has moisture inside, and I am a bit worried when it eventually attacks the PCB and kills the lights

I'm sure there are more. Try using words that include: remove third brake light, etc

I had this problem with cracked paint/rust around the center stop light as well, but sorted under warranty.
The Hyundai dealer mounted a rubber sealing around the brakelight to ensure the light housing didn't crack the paint again.
You most likely can only get this sealing at the Hyundai dealer, but i would recommend it to avoid same problem in the future.

Then you've had better luck with search than I usually have. :Pout: :fum:

So just use the screwdriver (protected with ducttape) on the upper trim (which side? does it matter?), and find the screws under it? Do i have to remove the lower and bottom trim/plastic from the inside of the hatch door, or does the upper part just pop off?
