Looks great, the installer did a very professional job :goodjob:
I wonder how long the synthetic flex rim on the mid's and tweeters will last in our summer sun before they turn too powder :undecided:
-
Looking very good, must be very good sound in your car now... :goodjob2:
-
Very nice installation, but I just wouldn't bother in a car. How do the specs compare to your home unit
-
Wow, very impressive .. Do you mind if I ask how much you spent.
-
Cheers guys..
Yeah I'm a little worried about the synthetic flex on the mids & tweeters, therefore I try my best to keep it parked in the shade..
As for cost, I got lucky as a good mate took care of me with all components.. Install was more than what most ppl charge, but when you go over & look at the qualityl you can understand why..
-
Wow, I wish i had a mate like that! :victory:

Wow, that's an impressive upgrade, and indeed well executed too. My upgrade plan is a bit more modest. I came across this thread because I was looking at a pair of HERTZ HCX 165's to replace the stock front-door speakers and I was wondering if they would fit without further modification? Do they fit or will they protrude the standard speaker grille? Thanks.
-
Nice!

Sorry for the late reply..
The Hertz HCX 165 will fit without a problem in the front or back.. The Mille's have a lot more depth & they fit (just had to file down shroud on inside of door trim)..
-
Hey, thanks for replying afterall! The HCX 165's are in the front doors for about six weeks now, and the sound is totally impressive. I bet the Mille's have way more power, but that wasn't what I was going for.
I chose to leave the stock rear door speakers in place, because I prefer a pure frontal sound stage. And it makes for a fun way to let people hear the difference between the upgraded and stock speakers by dialing the front/rear fader all the way up or down.
