Title: Isn't the I30 supposed to lock automatically
Post by: New-Owner1 on June 25, 2009, 16:35:12
I recently parked in the car park , got outside and had a sneaky feeling I had forgotten to lock the car, went back some 10 minutes later and found the car was indeed unlocked, I was told by the dealer that if you forget to lock the car it locks automatically within 30 seconds of you leaving the zone.

No the dealer's slightly wrong.

It only locks automatically if you remotely unlock, but then do not open a door within 30 or so seconds (auto-relock).

Yap..otherwise you might leave your keys in and lock them inside too.. Auto-relock is good especially if the unlock button presses in your pocket.. To lock itself when you go away, it should have keyless entry/leaving and stuff, like some cars have.
