Well, finally ordered my i30 after weeks of lurking here & gathering info, so about time I made a proper post ;)

My name is Jon, I'm from Sydney, and I have just ordered a shiny new SLX Auto Petrol.  Wanted to get the diesel, but there were none available in the foreseeable future, and certainly none with the current end of financial year promotion.  I got Crystal White (again not my first choice, same reason).

Got tinted windows, floor mats & an iPod cable for $25,141 all up.  Pretty pleased, as the current promo price is more than that (25990 after cashing in the Myer gift card), and some of the other dealers I spoke to wouldn't budge below that, even without accessories...

"My" boat docks on Monday, and I should have the car in a few weeks....can't wait!

Hard to get the diesels mate. Real hard !
I am sure you will love the petrol model though.  The cars rock, regardless of their propulsion version.

It's easier to find a LEXUS in the colour and model you want, than an i30 !!!!

Hi Jon!
Having driven a diesel citreon for many years - when test driving the i30s - I actually preferred the petrol  model to the diesel. Quieter and smoother. I suppose the economy isnt as good though.  Welcome to the club. I joined yesteday having had my i30 for 2 days and being pleassantly surprised!

You will love your I30 Jon, I have the petrol auto, i also have a company car but now when we go anywhere on the weekends i take the I30 instead, its just a joy to drive.
