Title: Sunroof
Post by: Doggie 1 on July 06, 2009, 09:46:03
These pics aren't great quality but were taken in between rain showers in the middle of all the gloomy weather we're getting here at the moment.
I'll post some better ones when I get them, including some of the leather seats.

The controls are just near the interior light at the front between the sunvisors.
It has the usual slide and tilt functions plus a rain sensor so that if I leave it open when the car is parked, if it starts to rain it automatically closes.
It is actually the first time I've had a sunroof, but it's good.

That rain sensor function is nifty  :D  How cool would that look to someone walking past when it starts to rain...

I got it through Prestige Sunroofs here in W.A. who are the distributors for Webasto. I don't know who does it over your way but I can ask them if you like.
They quoted a fraction under three grand complete but when squeezed a bit, did it for $2600 installed including the rain sensor and also included an extended 2 year warranty on top of the standard 3 year.
I thought I might as well get it covered for the duration of the Hyundai new car warranty.

hmmmm

might leave that one on the back burner for this minute... wait til the ATO leaves a tidy sum in my account before seriously considering it...

how long did it take for them to install it?

They had the car three days, but you know how these places are. They probably did it in one and a half but I'd rather not rush them.
It's a Hollandia 700 series by Webasto/Hollandia if you ever decide you want one.
Cheers.
