Title: drivers door - not opening from inside

Afternoon,
I have recently fallen foul of the drivers door issue - when trying to open the door from the inside the handle feels as though it is no longer attached to the opening mechanism.

A (non Hyundai) garage has quoted £312.80 to fix this, while Hyundai are saying it is fixable under warranty but do not have a loan car until 6th May!!

Is this something I can (or should) do myself, or should I just wait it out?

I'd be waiting for Hyundai to repair it under warranty, it's only 3 weeks.
