Hello Colleagues, I have some problems with CC in my Hyundai i30, 1,6crdi U2 engine Czech Plant. I have connected all cables according diagrams. Pins 50,89,9,51 and 44 in small ECU plug. My ECU is 39114-2A412. I have connected also two signals to instrument cluster to white plug (M1-A).
Nothing, CC is not working at all. Clock spring is checked (all signals goes by the spring). Connections are ok, I have used oryginal connectors. What is wrong. This is posiible that I don't have correct brake switch or something, or ECU don't have cc option? Please help. Thank you.

Welcome Marcin. I can't help unfortunately. Hopefully someone who can, will see your post in the next day or two.. :fingers:

OK. I will wait. I forgot to say hello. Hello to all members. :)
P.S. My car is EURO5

Hello again. I did some measurements. When ignition on I don't have 12V on Cruise Power cable (before clock spring) - is it mean my ECU not have CC?. Cables are OK. Maybe in my ECU there is option to enable CC? Someone can give me next step to measure ECU??

No one can help? Does anyone try to change something in ECU by GDS?

Hi MarcinBrown & thanks for your message. I have not responded to your post because I don't have any answers for you.
There is an article about DIY CC but I'm not sure about the model & build origin. So rather than give erroneous info, I decided not to respond.
To put CC into a car is IMO a large job with many complications and skills required. This is a job I would not undertake myself.
The ECU controls many parameters. The GDS program is developed and owned by Hyundai for the exclusive use by their technicians for servicing vehicles with OEM fitted accessories. I doubt you would get any Hy service centre to be remotely interested in a private CC installation due to possible warranty issues later on. The ECU can be updated with new software released by Hy at their convenience, which means that if you were able to get the CC going, it could be overwritten by new code which could stop the CC. ECU updates check your vin number and as your car was not OEM fitted with CC you could loose it.
Quite honestly, the best thing you could do is to go to an auto electrician and have an aftermarket one fitted. Sorry it's not what you wanted to hear, but that is what I think.

Thank you Phil. This is realy sad. Have a nice time.

Not having that model - I can't really help, except I remember this thread: :link: Add cruise control the DIY Way !! (https://i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=12574.0)
But I think you might be following that in anycase...

ibrokeit! Maybe you can help me. Do you have CC?? - please look what type of ECU do you have - number.

Still fighting. Question For all members. Does anyone have i30cw diesel manufactured between 05.11 - 05.12 with cruise control??
Please write to me what no of ECU you have.

Anyone know if it is possible to check by diagnostic program like GDS if the signals from cruise control switch are OK. F.E there is some table in program where we can see On/Off signals??

Hi,
I'm considering to mod CC on my i30 FD (2009) as well. Can you share your progression? Appreciate your help ;)

I believe he got it working - presumably it still does.
I notice the last time MarcinBrown logged in was near a month ago - so response may be slow.
I think he was using the "How-To" posted in another topic in the board - which I linked to in an earlier reply.

Maybe his DIY CC got stuck and he still hasn't been able to come to a stop
