Not as pretty as Rusty would do it (no photos) but here are the sales results for April 2015
The resurgent new car market defied industry analysts again in April by pushing further ahead with record sales.
In the wake of March's record result, in which the market turned around significantly against expectation, many analysts had tipped April to be a slow month for new car registrations.
"With the Easter weekend falling in March and people rushing out to buy new vehicles ahead of that, compounding the end of the Japanese financial year and the end of the quarter, we're expecting the market to cool considerably in April," one analyst told Drive halfway through the month.
However, the numbers have again defied industry sentiment. Industry figures due to be released on Tuesday will show a total 81,656 vehicles were sold in the month of April, a 1.2 per cent increase on the same period last year. Overall year-to-date registrations spiked to 359,250, or 133 units ahead of a record 2013"
