Title: Hyundai i30 juddering
Post by: aidenmorgan43 on May 10, 2015, 22:55:28: Hello I have an 61 plate i30 1.6 crdi and in the last week have been experiencing juddering not only wen changing gear but whilst driving. Just wondering if I should b worried no engine management lights or signs of a problem.

Administrator Comment "61 plate" is a Sep 2011 -> Mar 2012 registration in the UK

Weather conditions,
Engine temp, warm, cold, just started.
Load on motor, accelerating or cruising.
Last fuel addition.
Age & distance car has traveled.
Servicing history.
Any recent problems.

And local reports of problems from other car users which may point to a fuel mix up at the garage?

Or buy an elm327 off ebay for £7 an check yourself, pulling PENDING codes. no point doing it yourself really though

Also, when it happens did you notice whether the rpm's drop to below the idle rpm's

Is it juddering or stuttering??

If juddering I would be suspecting lost wheel weights, drivetrain or broken suspension components.

If stuttering then engine.

Which is it?
