Title: Solving DTC P1186 on 1.6 CRDI
Post by: diesel1984 on August 06, 2015, 09:06:00
Hi,

Some of us have a nightmare problem with 1.6 CRDI engine and DTC P1186 (check engine light on) that hyundai or kia services hardly solving. :spitty: :fum:

I had a problem with random long cranking (about 7 seconds) after sitting over night or after 40-50min after engine was turned off.

Another fault was random limited revs to 2850rpm, with no check engine light on, no DTC codes stored, parameters in live data was all good.

After some time limited RPMs with DTC P1186 - Fuel/Rail system pressure - Too Low. Permanent.

Here is a video how i solved this problems.

Interesting thing is that water in fuel indicator never turned on and these bugs growing in water that is left in diesel.

3 days after cleaning and engine is pulling and starting like new. :happydance:
