GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => DIESEL => Topic started by: marcd77red on August 16, 2015, 21:03:34

Hi there,
I test drove and bought an i30 yesterday. The year and model is a 2011 1.6 diesel blue drive. I test drove the car for a few miles and made the purchase there and then. When driving the vehicle home after 50 miles the engine oil light came on. I thought it was down to simply needing to top up the oil however when I checked the oil level was almost full.
Today it is the same, the light is on and not flashing intermittently or anything. However I also noticed that the ISG OFF light is illuminated today aswell.
Any advice would be much appreciated, many thanks
M

If you have a full service record and the services were all done on schedule - you should still be under the 5 year warranty.
If so - get the Hyundai dealer to sort it.

 Wow! As master of the understatement, that is not good! I would cease driving it immediately and contact the seller.
Hopefully the seller was a dealer and not a private seller trying to bail out of a problem car. You need to get this sorted asap.
Good luck! :fingers:

Go get your money back. You dont need that stress on day one.
Probably never serviced and oil galleries blocked up.

...or it could just be a bad oil pressure sensor.... :undecided:
