Hi Gonz, that's great. I thought I did well with my petrol i30 on my last trip achieving 7.1 / 100km but the diesel is sure economical. :goodjob2: Must admit I kept to the speed limit of mostly 110 km per hr for a good part of the way.
>and I wasn't all that wrapped in my result either, given official combined is supposed to be 6.9/100
Highway driving at 120/130kph I sit at around 7.6l/100km, but lately my foot has become a bit heavy and in town it goes up to around 8l/100km. I do around 50/50 town and highway driving and I usually get around 600 - 650km per brimmed 53l tank
I have to add, this is at 195'000km currently and I got her last year with 155'000 on the odo
I think (speaking under correction) I have the G4FC motor, the same one as in the first Gen i20's. I am not sure as we used to get the Getz 1.7 CRDI and then (speaking under correction again) a 1.3 or 1.4 petrol engine as well that I am aware of.Highway driving at 120/130kph I sit at around 7.6l/100km, but lately my foot has become a bit heavy and in town it goes up to around 8l/100km. I think your motor is the older 1.6 Mpi motor as in the Getz? (not the newer Gdi ) Not a bad little motor. :goodjob:
I'm currently getting 11.7 l/100km. However, that is with a 6l V8 running 98 octane fuel.
C'mon fellas!! Please help me keep my job, drive your cars with spirit!!

Off-Topic:
That 18 y/o tied up in the boot?
Same driving, same driver, same conditions, same everything except for one thing.
You fitted a roof rack.
Ah, so it's an illegal mod! Say no more. :whistler:
Just got back from a trip to Wales from The Netherlands and i got 5.5 ltr/100km. That's 18.2 km/ltr, which imo is pretty good. Average speed was 100/110 kph (65/70 mph).Fantastic! What is the speed limit over there on the highways?
The computer gave a range of 840 km. When got back and a one-way trip was 670 km for 37 liters of petrol.
Fat tyres on fat mags, draggy body kit and a Texas-sized caravan on the back. :lol:Ah, so it's an illegal mod! Say no more. :whistler:
It's legal. :D

Pretty good figures for a 2ltr auto :goodjob:I will admit, I have been driving very carefully and having the display in front of me, appeals to my obsessive nature.
Since selling my business, my diesel wagon is now the wrong car for my needs... :undecided:
Was an excellent work vehicle (park in loading zones, massive boot storage, flat folding rear seats, roof rails, cheap service and 6l/100km)
Now I'm averaging high 9s in the burbs in traffic and short trips.
