Title: Passenger side water leaking from under dash/glove box
Post by: twotwomx on November 12, 2015, 21:47:32
My wife has a 2013 UK i30 Diesel auto, which has water leaking from under the dash/glove box on the passenger side when you turn right. I've taken the cowling off by the wipers but all is clear and dry there, so was checking on-line and there is mention of the a/c drain plug being clogged or it could be something to do with the pollen filter? Anyone else had this problem or know how I find the drain plug connection on the inside of the car so I can blow it out rather then getting under the car and blowing the blockage in?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hi Paul.

Is your dealership too far away to claim on the warranty? After all, you've paid for it (indirectly) so why not make use of it?

There is a rubber drain pipe on the driver's side. As a quick fix, I would insert a blunt plastic object (not too far in), to see if any condensate comes out. The opening may be blocked by an obstruction, or even sealed erroneously at manufacture.
