Post by: tji30 on August 23, 2009, 04:53:34
OK guys, it's still August & therefore still winter in Aus. Went out to the car to check the software version of my radio & here is what it reports the current outside temp at.

Great pictures Bulldog! still cool at night here but it's getting warmer in the mornings and saw 20's all week in Sydney helps economy a bit too.
If its 32 up on that mountain it will be cooking down ipswitch, but you only go up to Makay and they don't have winter at all just wet or dry season.
hows the weather in Tassie Dazz? as on thursday i fly down to Hobart for four day's, won't have a car as my friend is driving me around, other wise i would get up Devenport to meet you Dazz. my friend said i won't see Snow on top of Mount Wellington, was hopping to see it snowcapped.

I win

The wireline logging truck, actually I wasnt there, it's taken in North Iceland.

But I've driven in similar conditions here one or two times, last winter was almost just rain.

yes but then we'd need a aussie summer vs UK summer and we'd win that for sure

it is ridiculous though having summer weather in winter....i'm rather concerned what this means for our upcoming real summer. i was ok while living in brissy but i struggle terribly through summer in central queensland. can easily hit 36-38 and the humidity is shocking.

Well its been a wet and miserable week over here near Perth.  As mentioned in the Targa West posts, it rained pretty much non-stop on the Saturday, and the Bindoon service park turned into a mud-wrestling event.  The oval got so cut-up they had to move it to a new sub-division up the highway a bit.  We really needed the rain tho as the beginning of the year was very dry and hot.  I dont mind a bit of variation, it is winter after all!
