Title: so i test drove an i30cw diesel manual
Post by: guinness on August 23, 2009, 07:17:20
really impressed with how it went! in-gear acceleration is effortless isnt it?
I'd go diesel for the driving enjoyment, would probably take me years to make it worth it on economic grounds!

not so impressed that i'd have to get the base model to get manual and diesel though. I was dissapointed with the interior - it looks great in the pics, but seemed plasticky in real life.

Got a quote for $26,500 on the road (no trade/cash price) with 6 airbags, towbar, roof racks and cargo barrier.
can now get cruise too for $400 but it slows delivery

what do you guys think of the price???
I'd want some alloy wheels too ...

I'm seriously considering the i30, but havent decided for sure - funny thing is the alternative is a VERY different car, the salespeople would never understand !!!

Hi Guiness... You may have already discussed this elsewhere but I like the look of the wagon but also find the lack of an SLX or SR manual frustrating.

The wagon has only got about 100 litres more boot space than the hatch.. and the wagon seat backs don't fold flat like the hatch ones do..

If it were me I'd go an SLX CRDi hatch for around the same price and get all the goodies as standard..

I did go for the SLX CRDi hatch and couldn't be happier.

In the back?  What's wrong with the back seat?  Our greyhound is having a wonderful time stretching out on the back seat and then sitting up looking out the back window.  Don't be mean, what else are you going to use the back seat for?

Its absolutely crazy how they have set out the model line-up in the wagon.  Write a letter to Hyundai Australia and let them know - if they lose enough sales from this stupidity they might change the offerings.

What if your Labrador doesn’t like to share the back seat with the German Shepherd?   :P
