Title: A Great Favor
Post by: gbranco on August 26, 2009, 19:52:34
hey friend, I'm back!

I'll try to explain my problem and what I need.

The version of my i30 is the version that comes without ESP, twitter (of sound). I bought some sound system with twitter and I want to put/install in my car. But my car doesn't have the "cover" of the twitter on the door, because it doesn't have the twitter. I'll take a picture a show to you.

So I went to Hyundai and asked if they can order it to me. They received an answer of the factory asking for one CHASSI of one i30 that have the twitter, because we don't have this version of i30 in Brazil and they need to import.

This is one picture of the piece I need,

(http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/1227/capatwitter.th.jpg) (http://img39.imageshack.us/i/capatwitter.jpg/)

This is one i30 from Argentina, mine is just plastic, no twitter.

Please if someone can do a great favor, I need one CHASSI number of one i30 that have twitter on sound, like on the picture, to send to factory and then receive the piece to install my twitter.

I should you guys understood. Please if someone can help me send an email gustavobrancoo(at)hotmail.com or message me here!!!

Thanks

Hi Gustavo.

The item you want is known to some people as a door tweeter.

I can't see how a chassis number on its own would help. Could you not just cut a hole in your cover and fit the tweeter, then cover that front with a small plastic grill?

I guess the chassis number will allow them to pull the parts list for the other car and get the part number for the ones with the tweeter cutout. I'd be a bit loathed to post my chassis number in public though, given the amount of ringing that goes on in the UK.

How about someone tries to find him the part number?

It's a fair bet though that without the tweeter assembly, the Brazilian part could be a slightly different fitting anyway...?

I've posted a request on the GB Owners Club. The Admin there is a trained Hyundai technician with access to (hopefully) the full parts catalogue for the UK, in case that might help :)

The part number will help me.

The factory asked me to find one Chassi number of this i30 model, because we don't have this model already and they need a chassi to find the part.

Just to remembe I don't want the twitter, just the plastic part, the sound I'll buy.

The part/piece of my car is similar, just don't have the "holes" the allow the sound to go out

Please someone help me to find the part number or gimme some chassi number, I can show you guys the email of the factory or something like that, I'll give the number to nobody, just to Hyundai to find the part.

The mechanic suggested to "stick" the part, but is really better if I can order the piece/part  :D
understand?

I know is hard to give Chassi number to one guy that you don't know who is

But I think the product/piece/part number will help me
If someone can call to Hyundai and ask for the code number I will be gratefull

I have just emailed SG PETCH, one of the largest Hyundai importers in the UK, for details of a parts number.

Part numbers for the plastic bits, there were two different coloured stickers, one on each which referred to the tweeters. The numbers quoted were moulded onto the plastic.

RH = 87661-2L020, LH = 87651-2L020 (These are on my UK i30 2.0l CRDI)
