Hope this hasnt been covered already..
We have a new active i30 It came without sat nav, Just wondering if you can install the activeX sat nav without to much trouble??
Is it just a matter of getting a module out of an activeX & fitting it in??

Not exactly sure but would think you'd need the whole head unit - module and antenna, then you would need to pay for map updates every year as your vehicle wasn't supplied with satnav which would supply updates for 3 years.
Much easier and cheaper to get a garmin that comes with lifetime map updates, they're usually more up to date with maps as well.

Thanks yeah I just found out a mate of mine works for Hyundai, so I rang him. Its a pretty big job, so the Mrs will stream her phone gps through the sound system. I think that will be the easiest way to do it.. :victory:

:whsaid: Especially the up to date-ness by all reports regarding AU. Even the latest map updates - the actual maps are apparently not up to the minute (or month/quarter even) of release accurate.

Yeah its the same at Ford, my $80000 GTP only has updates to 2013 !
