Hello everyone - I have owned my car for just over a year but only just found this forum.
Already someone has very kindly helped to fit a replacement door mirror after some kind person knocked mine off!
I have to say I am delighted with the car - one of the nicest I have ever owned.
However one thing really did strike me, and that is regional differences in car prices.
I live in Worcestershire UK, and discovered I could buy the identical car from a dealership in Scarborough UK for a full £2000 less than our local dealer.
Both were the identical model with very similar mileages and both Hyundai approved.
When I questioned it, the local dealer merely said he couldn't even buy them for that price.
Needless to say the deal was done over the phone and by e-mail and I bought the car without even seeing it.
Happy to say I wasn't disappointed and have been more than happy with it ever since! :goodjob2:

Hi handyman
:wttc:
We have the same differences even here in our small country. Not much of an issue if there's still warranty from the manufacturer, but if buying a 2. hand with only used car warranty from the selling dealer, then it might not be nice to have to travel hundreds of kilometers to have something sorted out.

:welcum: We have one Hyundai dealer with 4 outlets in our State (Island) so they have a bit of a monopoly... :Pout:

Glad you found a good car that you like, I would NEVER buy a car, sight unseen or not test driven, though.

Neither would I.... normally!
However the reason I went for the I30 is that we were allocated one as a hire car in Germany about a year before and we were both really impressed with it.
We did a test drive at our local dealer, but then when I noticed the price differential and our local dealer wouldn't compromise, I did the deal on the phone on the proviso that if I wasn't happy with the car in any way, I could walk away.
TBH the dealer also took my word on the condition of the car I was trading in.
All was well in the end anyway...... :)
