Title: Missing part on audio system
Post by: Shiko on March 05, 2016, 15:39:56
Hello everyone, im new here :)
so i own 2009 FD i30 Hatchback, with some nice modifications.

I have a missing little round plastic that covers the volume knob.
Its just a small plastic over the knob, that does nothing but covering the volume knob from the top of it, but its so annoying me to see that missing.

Actually i cant find any place i can get it or buying it, only the WHOLE audio system.

thanks for ur help :)

im attaching 2 pics, so u can see excatly what i mean.

Yeah, that would annoy me too :winker:

Do you have scrap yards / breakers / wreckers in Israel?  To be honest, if you do, I'd just have a wander around and see if there's an FD in there. If so, I'd prise the cap off and pocket it :whistler:

Can't see you getting lucky ordering one, as the cap is probably not listed as a "spare part".

Welcome to the forum, by the way :D

Thank you :)
Yeah, i guess theres some scrap yards somewhere here, but it really gonna spend my time going on and looking for that.
I would happy to pay my money for someone to just sends it directly to me, so all i have to do is just plug it in a second.

So, if someone wanna finds one in his/her nearest scrap yard, it could be super to send it to me and i'll paypal him/her :P

Thanks in advance

You can have my spare factory head unit for $50 if you like.... It works perfectly. Was replaced with the FD-01 Bluetooth unit.
The volume and tuning knobs are like brand new

thanks, but i think its way too much for only small plastic.  :undecided:
actually, if something wasnt work with my unit, i would probably buy it from u for 50$ (even though im and electronics engineer, and i can fix those things)

if someone have good source buying the whole volume knob internationally, would be also good enough for me.

Thank you all.

Just out of curiosity - as your profile doesn't show it - which region/country do you reside?

Cool - that Shambles likes to trick people with his ESP

I can understand you thinking it was showing because he mentioned that. AFAIK because he is Admin he sees data that might be hidden to us mere mortals.

Anyway all good! :goodjob:

Fantastic! I see you ordered a gear lever knob as well. Did the silver paint on yours rub off as well?

Great - looks great.

I have never successfully navigated their site yet.  Though I haven't really had need to - I got my replacement LH mirror LED indicator repeater from another site sometime ago.   Anyway great to see a positive recommendation for them.

Yeah you will find that with some OEM pieces on the right sites - they are so cheap that getting new replacements (and shipping) is more cost-effective than trying to get them from the parts dept. of the local dealer and/or used replacements (if they are even available locally and usable for the situation).

Nice pictures - both of the end result; and the unopened packages... part numbers clearly displayed (which could be useful in the future).

Thanks for the update.

Hi,
No, mine wasn't the chrome one (467202L200XP - LEATHER WRAPPED+CR COAT'G), just the simple cheaper PVC one (467202L100XP  - SOFT PVC)

i just want the chrome one to refresh the look of the interior.

Hi, The site is very easy to navigate. you take your part no. from "hyundai.epcdata" and then paste it on that site. if the part is unavailable, you can ask to stock it, and email sent to you less than 24 Hours later say it ready to your order. the prices are cheaper then any scrap yards and wreckers i checked, and much much cheaper then local dealer - most of the time they don't even have the parts.
