Doea the i30 have an alarm my car was broken into middle of the night but was unlocked. But now wondering does it have an alarm if so how do I make it  go off

When you lock your car and the lights flash, thats the indication to tell you the alarm is armed.

Did they take anything or cause damage i.e. trying to start it

You can test the alarm (if equipped) by locking the car with the remote, waiting at least 30 seconds, then unlocking the driver's door with the key (not the remote button). When you open the door, the alarm should sound and the hazard lights should flash. You can then stop the alarm by pressing the unlock button on the remote (or starting the engine if it doesn't stop).
