Just picked up my I30 GD Premium diesel last night. So far so good!
Love the feel of the car, great power (for country driving) and so many bells and whistles I can barely hear myself think!
Bonus: She looks real pretty :)
Just thought I would introduce myself. I'm a Canadian woman living in Bullsbrook, WA and loving the rural lifestyle. Unfortunately, I have to pay the bills which means, y'know, work.
At 100+Kms a day, I'm hoping my new beauty will keep both my inner race car driver and my wallet happy.
So, on that note, Hello everyone! :D

Hi there, Midna :D
:welcome: to the forum.

Welcome Minda. Great intro. Hope you stay in touch on your journey. Premium Diesel. .. you got the pick of the litter. The i30 is often the best selling car in WA so lots of members over there. I'm in Tasmania but get to W.A. fairly often as have family, friends and lots of members to visit. There's a bit of an overlap on those last two groups!

You can do as mentioned above (but gives small low quality pics) or you could use imgur or photobucket, etc. for much bigger and/or higher quality images (wouldn't recommend dropbox for image display - can't embedded the image in a post... just the link - but great for anything else... PDFs, etc.). See topics in :link: FORUM INFORMATION (https://i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?board=2.0)

Very nice.
And welcome to the forum.
Have you been in Australia long? and how have you adapted to the heat.
I get to Canada reasonably regularly to visit my son and his Canadian wife and our two grandkids in Mississauga.

Hi Surferdude!
I've been in Oz for 12 years now and my Canadian blood has thinned considerably LOL The heat doesn't bother me too much (only had aircon the last 3 years) unless its 40+ with easterlies. I live in the hills so it's always a few degrees hotter and the ocean breeze doesn't get to us. That being said, if it drops below 20 I'm FREEZING! Guess I've acclimatised.
I'm originally from Montreal but also have family in Mississauga (as well as all over Ontario, NB and PEI) These days, I only go home for a visit in summer if I can. I was there in October last year for a wedding and I'd forgotten how cold it can get then. Don't think I could cope with January any more hahahah

We were there in October and November last year. But I like the cold. However we only got as far east as Kingston for a couple of nights this time. We have been to Montreal a couple of times but not since 2004.
I'm amazed at how you guys handle the heat. A year or so ago I ran I to a Canadian running the roadhouse in Camooweal just on the Qld, NT border west of Mt Isa. It's over 35 pretty much every day. He told me he was from some little place about 3 hours SW of Toronto and was amazed when I said " way down the 401 then". He was rapt to find someone who knew what it was.

G'day and welcome...
I'm sure you will love the diesel If your really good to her you might even get under 5l/100.
