As some would know, my brother passed away recently so I had to make the trip to his home in Hobart, Tasmania.
Apart from organising his cremation, we also had to attempt to pack up all his belongings.
This is just a small sample....
Amazingly, all that fitted into my i30 Hatch...
Other than sitting a bit low in the rear end and the handling being a touch mushy, my mighty i30 handled it with no complaint. :goodjob:

Quite the little warrior, innit? :goodjob:

Tardis comes to mind when you see the space in the i30.
-
I guess you used the compressor to get it all in.............
-
Rusty , sad trip for you but yes the little i30 hatch gets a lot in the back!!
how was the economy?
-
I saw this 1st hand. Yes very impressive! :victory:

My i30 is the metallic blue (I know they don't call it that - but for simplicity I call it cobalt blue) - now I have a silly idea of, at some point, getting some vinyl and patterning it in strips to look like a tardis...

To be honest I didn't take any notice... :-[
I do know it didn't use much on the boat back to Victoria though... :whistler:

Instead of having the seat base folded back up against the front seats I removed them before heading over.
This gave me an extra few inches (always handy :p) and also allowed easier access to the footwells... :D

It is amazing what fits in an i30. I amazed the guy at the transport depot when I picked up all my daughter's stuff from Darwin a couple of years back.
Also, when we moved back from Sydney we had my wife's Corolla and my Impreza. After the removalists took all the main stuff we had a pile which completely filled under the stairs (including a landing) in our 2 story house completely stacked. Neighbour insisted it would never work, so we drove by his office on the way out of town.
Well done Rusty.

*Fixed... :P
Not sure how that happened...lol

They sure are great. My daughter went around to the pick up area at a furniture store for her desk she had just bought and the store man looked at the i30 and said you won't get the desk in there, she folded the rear seats down and in it went much to the amazement of the store man. :goodjob2:

I picked up a 55" flat screen from Harvey Norman. Old mate thought we would have to rip it out of the box.
He was wrong.... Should had got a 60 :whistler:

This reminds me about that old joke: How to fit four elephants into a Mini? - Two into front seats, two into back seats! :crazy1:
