Title: 2009 i30 won't open from the inside
Post by: Paul1977 on March 29, 2016, 10:51:26
My i30 suddenly stopped opening from the inside on the drivers door. I have had a friend take the door panel off and we can see the cable has snapped.
I have called Hyundai and they say for my particular car you can't just buy the cable, but have to have the full opening catch system which is approx £250.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a way to avoid buying the full kit?

I just had the same issue. There's plenty of them on ebay I paid £14
Only issue being was fitting the cable to the lock inside the door.
But got there in the end. Works fine now.
Dealer wanted me to buy the new cable of them and they would fit for free. £67 from dealer
