Title: CRDI air filter replacement
Post by: tweety on March 31, 2016, 09:08:18
First time poster all. Will post in general about the history of my car.

About two years ago I was forced into retirement due to ill health. As you do, we had to trim costs. I decided to replace my air filter on my 3/2008 made i30 CRDI. Enter ebay.

I purchased a washable air filter (think it was ryco) anyway, most of you would know that these are washable and when installing you spray air filter oil on it to catch the dust particles.

Acceleration was immediately increased, noticeably and the economy (we live in the country) improved from 5.8 L/100km to 5.2. I always check my economy, always have with every car I had.

Cheers.

Correct, K&N reusable filter. Took it out today for a clean prior to our trip. Used only a light coat of filter oil on it.
