Title: 2009 crdi aircon pulley replacement
Post by: Wadarcy on May 12, 2016, 13:30:46
Hi everyone!
My 2009 crdi i30 aircon pulley is screeching badly. I checked the price of a replacement clutch and pulley kit today and wow it's expensive! ($470 - $500 AUD)
Given that I live very remotely (1800km from the nearest capital city) it's a job I will have to tackle myself...sooooo has anyone successfully replaced thier aircon pulley here?
Any tips or tricks on the best way of tackling this job?

Understand your position regarding distance, BUT I'd be having the whole compressor replaced, as you don't know what may fail next. 2009 car, I assume it has a fair few k's on the odometer and if the compressor has worked hard due to high temps, it's probably about to let go soon. Just my opinion
