Post by: neilfisher on June 15, 2016, 21:02:49
Hi I have a i30 crdi 1.6 10 reg with 80000 miles on I have just had a LUK clutch fitted which works fine but the car has developed a bad vibration at 2000 rpm and between 50-60 mph in 3rd 4th 5th and 6th gears the garage so far has removed and inspected the mounts and all look in good order but if I drive the car hard I don't get any of the vibration me and my mechanic are lost so if anyone can help please

 :welcumwagon: Neil,

Bit of a can of worms for a non-mechanic like me to diagnose! Even though the clutch is working fine, I imagine it has to be the first suspect or an associated bearing. How does the gear change feel? The same as before? Hopefully one of our tech heads has some clues.  :fingers:

What year model is your I30? No idea what a 10 plate equates to from over here in Australia lol.

I seem to recall an ECU upgrade for a vibration under light loads around 1800rpm a few years ago. Might be applicable to yours.

10 plate is a car registered between 1 march 2010 to 31 aug 2010
