hi guys,
Can anyone recommend a quality battery for my 2011 i30 diesel wagon? (see full model below)
The dealer has recommended a Century NS70LBMF.
thanks
Tim.
P.S. The factory one has lasted almost 4.5 years, I'm shocked ;-)

The battery the dealer has recommended sounds okay.
Century are an Aussie company and I believe their batteries are built here in Oz... :goodjob:
Re your old battery, are you shocked it only lasted that long or shocked that it lasted as long as it did? :undecided:

Shocked that it's lasted that long ;-)

Over 6 years so far out of mine... :D

Anything with a 3 year plus replacement warranty. Check this as some can go pro rata from as low as 12 months (ie 12 month replacement/24 month pro rata where they pay you a percentage of what life they expect the battery to have remaining).
Some Century batteries have a 24 month warranty, if that was the case I would be looking elsewhere. Bosch for example are 36 months replacement.
I didn't see where you are from but the RACQ offers a battery service with 36 month warranty. Personally I would look at that one, because should the battery die, they will come out, fit the replacement and have you on your way (if you are a member). Scratch this I see you are from Vic, Racv only does 24 months warranty.
Check the price from the stealer too, as often they are inflated beyond belief....

Regardless of warranty length, I would choose a Century.

I reckon if you get 36 months guaranteed from a battery your doing well....Oh and if it fails at 32, you'll probably get 5 or 6 years....
