Title: Replacement Side Moulding
Post by: IanWright on September 29, 2009, 12:30:44
Hi all,

I recently just got my new (well 2nd hand, but it is new to me!) i30 estate. This morning I noticed that the side moulding on the rear passenger side door has a chunk out of it.

I'm assuming that this doesn't actually cause any problem for the car other than a chink in it's door armour? If I wanted to get it replaced does anyone know how/where you can get the parts to do so? Having looked at the hyundai.co.uk side its £60 for a full set, but they don't sell them individually, or would you expect the dealer to just charge for the replacement section?

I am pretty certain you won't be able to order anything but a set. Be aware CW version is different to hatch too.

Is it a big bit or just cosmetic?

I wouldn't worry unless it could catch a persons leg and then be classed as a "hazard" by our boys in blue and you end up with an impound ticket.

Na, at the moment it's just cosmetic. Will have to keep an eye on it make sure it doesn't peel away.

I'd be looking here for a solution:
