Hi there!
:) :) :)
I have been facing a very anoying issue with my I30CW CRDI 110 DCT (03/2016 - 5500Km)...
Since I've bought it, 2 months ago (brand new), I've been able to hear a very annoying sound, which seems came from the rear.
At first It sound for me like a wheel problem. Thus, I hear a regular windy noise coming from the rear...and faster you drive higher the frequence gets. In freewheels or when I turn I still hear the problem...
When I brought back my car to my local dealder, I ve been told that I am facing a wheel deformation...
Indeed, I had this WE my 2 rear wheels (Continental) changed...and the noise is steel there.
Anyone could tips me!???
Thks guys :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
Greetings from France!

As wind noise have you checked the rear doors are flush when closed, rear windows are shut correctly in their groves and the rear hatch is seated correctly/closed.
Also, under the car have you checked there is nothing hanging or not fitted correctly which may contribute to the noise.
Ps welcome and enjoy the euro final

Hi!
Sure I'll have a look under when I get the chance... :)
Regarding the final, even though I am French ; I believe that we don't deserve to win... :goodjob2:
Thanks anyway!

When you say "wheel" deformation, I assume you mean tyre. I could not imagine a tyre problem like that at 5500 klms. And it would seem my thoughts are bore out by the lack of result in changing the rear tyres.
Id be giving the dealer a rev up for offering uch a silly diagnosis.
All that aside, as eye30 suggested above, it sounds like wind noise to me. But I'd be insisting the dealer fix it.

Can we have a photo of your current tyre tread pattern :exclaim:

roue = wheel
pneu = tyre
If the noise is still there with tyres changed and wind noise is eliminated as a possibility, this may leave some problem in the rear axle or brake mechanism areas. :confused:

Sorry, my fault, need the wheels turned see I can see all of it. Years ago I had some tyres with a criss cross tread pattern and they used to "sing" a particular frequency which increased as the speed built up. It wasn't unpleasant so I put up with it. Just wondering if yours were similar.
