Title: Anyone know what the thing that holds the oil filter is called?

Just looking for some advice and whether anyone knew what the thing that holds the oil filter is called? I have an i30 2008 CRDi and about 2 years ago I was changing the oil in the dark(great idea!) and when I was putting the lid back on I didn't put it in properly and the "rod" that's attached to the lid snapped.

I'm keen to get a replacement lid essentially but have no idea what that thing is called! lol

To get the part number you're probably going to need the dealer as I suspect there was a change in production around Feb 2008.

Numbers could be 263502A000 (early version) or 263152A500

Maybe the number is stamped on your cap somewhere?

Will be interesting to see what local quotes are.

Post by: CHB on July 21, 2016, 23:19:16: Bingo! That's the one. I'll get back to you guys with a cost. Might be in about 2-3 weeks though. I've tried super glue but that hasn't held Hahaha. Its stuck in the middle in the gap ATM so seems to work, but can be a hassle to pull out.
