I own a i30 1.6 Diesel Automatic and I think I am getting a terrific MPG, at this moment in time I am getting (according to the on-board computer) on a urban cycle 51.3 mpg, tomorow I will be doing about 200 miles of motorway driving, now the last time I did the exact same jouney (sticking to 55-65 mph ) my i30 did average 62.5 mpg, that was the best I could get, after the 62.5 it tendered to tail off to about 59 mpg, now since my ECU has been upgraded to 150 bhp, did that make the difference ????????????????

Just a up-date, did the same trip today ( 200 motor-way miles ) 55-65 mph, best fuel consumption was 74.6 mpg average when I got home was 73.4 mpg, now that is the best fuel consumption I have had out of all the numerous cars I have driven in over 35 years, a friend of my nephew's owns a Toyota Prius and the best mpg he can get is in the mid-50's mpg.
I defy anyone to get a better mpg, yet I still have the performance if required, I can go from 60-90 mph in 15 secs.
