What sort of spare do you have in your I30? I'm sure that when i went down and test drove one and looked it had a get me home wheel (you know the narrow one just to get you home), but today i looked at mine (6 days after getting the car :-[) and to my surprise it is a full snowflake alloy.

I asked when I ordered and was promised it would be a snowflake.
Kind of usefull if you (or another family member ) kerbs one.

Don't say that cuz that is a fate worse than death

Bulldog, did you get a cargo net? usb stick? Breakdown triangle? anything else in the boot?
I'm not sure all of these are supplied....

You're right Dazz, in Oz we all get 5 matching road wheels. Can't speak for our continental friends though.

I guess they saw me coming.. My slx has a full size spare but it is steel not alloy :( only 1 key fob and i reckon i paid through the nose for it heheh. mind you, mine was the 2nd i30 registered in Perth (according to the salesman) and at that time they wern't doing any "deals" (so they say).

My SR only has a steel spare and only one key fob. I questioned them about it and they said virtually the same thing. I picked up my i30 in Feb 08. I'm not particularly worried though, the car is still great with or without an alloy spare.

The matching alloy makes all the difference...

I was promised a matching alloy spare on my Style Sport here in Spain but it came with "a get you home" narrow spare. Moral don't trust the salesman!!
-
I would have refused delivery...
I made sure that I told my salesman that I would reject delivery if things weren't up to my liking. Tough shit for them if they can't deliver what has been promised.

Did he write it in the contract, or just promise it to you verbally???

youll do more damage to your suspension than the wheel  oh and my spare is a full size one
-
The salesman only told me verbally about the spare but he did forget to include fitting costs in the contract for my cruise control, navigator and mud flaps so I suppose I won in the end!!

Steel space saver.
It may be worth setting up a thread under the Polls/surveys heading?
