Is it safe to put seat covers on heated / cooled seats? For 2015 I30 SR Premium. I much prefer to sit on fabric / sheepskin than leather. Cheers

Hi, Debbie
:welcome:
Seat temperature is safe for people to sit on so it will be safe for your seat covers, no problem. :victory:

Might be worth checking the manual. My Holden has some warning about seat covers with my heated seats.
Since we put Sheepskin covers on we haven't bothered/needed to use the seat heaters.
I don't think it would be such an issue with cloth seat covers.

Debbied,
What did you end up covering your seats with ?
How did it work out?

Hi Ed, she was last on line 2 months ago so I'll tag her... @Debbied

It is fine to put covers on heated seats as most heated seats are timed or have thermostat.

I've got heated seats (on my Calais) but my owner's manual warns against using them excessively because they can overheat and damage the seat material or the seat covers (or something to that effect)
Because mine are sheepskin I don't need to use the heaters...
