Title: Trip meter upgrade
Post by: Stevnsue on September 17, 2016, 13:41:53
Hi. We've just bought a 2011 i30 sx diesel wagon - very happy with it. A question members may be able to help with. Our model only has the basic single trip meter, but not the fuel use functions etc. is the display able to display the additional data? I.e. Could we upgrade it by a patch cable from the OBD to the panel? Has anyone done this? It would be nice to have the additional functions.
Thanks, Steve

I am pretty certain the display can't be upgraded to show the extra info. Nobody on here has done it.

Something like a scangauge would be more accurate and give far more info anyway.

The instrument cluster may be interchangeable with a higher spec model, but don't quote me. I figure the wiring is already there.
