Title: New HSV GTS
Post by: CraigB on September 22, 2016, 19:45:39
HSV is going to push one last GTS through it's doors for 2017, I wish I had the money as this would be a real investment 25 years down the track

And a lot cheaper than a similar performing BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc.   :whistler:

Here is the price drop of a 2011 BMW M3.

$162,000 down to $72,000.  A drop of $90,000 and more than 50% depreciation.

Here is the price drop of a 2011 HSV GTS.

$85,000 down to $45,000.  A drop of $40,000 or less than 50%.

These are just two examples that I have picked from the Redbook page (not Redtube, Dazz).  They both depreciate by about 50%, the European cars more so, and that is a greater cost in dollars!!

I think depreciation would be very minimal on these special releases, only 250 will be made and most will probably be parked in air conditioned comfort for their lifetime, maybe the occasional weekend squirt when the temperature is exactly 22 degrees and 60% humidity :D

You could probably afford it too if you sold off a bunch of that collection you have, and you'll save money on not having to build so many garages :D

The garages are already ordered so too late.
Besides, even though I'm not a one badge loyalist, I'd feel like a traitor not driving an FG-X Sprint or XR6 Turbo.
