Hi,
Just got our new i30 and trying to learn it all.
If I want my screen to be in phone mode with out radio, how do I do this please?
I think that if I have the radio on and I get a call, the radio will mute but what if I don't want the radio at all.
Thanks
oz

If I understand you correctly, try pressing the MEDIA button until you're in CD, USB media, or Bluetooth mode without pressing play.
Then as long as you've paired your phone with the car all calls with be routed through the head unit.
You can probably also press the green phone button and leave it on that screen for the same effect, though this probably won't persist after turning the car off and then on.

I'm fairly sure if you don't want the radio on at all you can turn it off, and it will still take/receive calls. At least it does on the i40.

On mine i just turn volume down as if i turn it off it also turns phone facility off

Many thanks all..
I have just been turning it down and leaving it there but will try the other suggestions.
Love the car BTW ! Still only 18 klms

Gotta watch those dealers, they promise a full tank of fuel, its only two days after you pick it up you realise they didn't give it to you (well once, after that I insist they put it on the contract)

No, still running.... :-)
Definately a full tank., up to 118k now and still showing near full.

I'm pretty sure that you should be able to do as cleid suggests.... Basically put it on any other mode other than radio (Aux, BT, CD, etc).
When a phone call comes in, as long as the phone is paired, it will use what's called the Hands Free Profile (HFP) of Bluetooth which roots through the head unit.
I'm not sure if it works with the media unit turned off, I haven't tried it (but now will for my own curiosity tomorrow!)....
