Title: [i30 FDe, ISG] Radio at ACC key position

Hi
I've just bought secondhand 2009/MY10 Hyundai i30 and one thing is bothering me. Should I be able to turn radio on at ACC key position? It worked in that way in my previous cars, but now I can't do that. At the same time 12V socket is powered.

I bought a car with additionally installed Parrot's handsfree kit, so I'm suspecting that modification as a source of issue now, but I also found in GSW that audio units in ISG equipped cars are connected to battery indirectly by "ISG Converter Audio". Do you know how should it work?

Welcome tork,

Does seem odd that radio won't work on accessories. It does in the wife's 2014 Tourer, but we don't get ISG in Australia. Some of our Euro members should be able to help though.  :goodjob:

Seems like radio is fed by IGN not ACC. Doesn't seem normal. :eek:

Why not mod straight to IGN in fusebox? :)

Just for the record, I found that "ISG Converter" is well known DC/DC converter used to bump voltage when engine is starting (to prevent switching off the radio).
