Looks good :goodjob: you've earned yourself a beer or several :)
What did the new/secondhand door cost?

What did the new/secondhand door cost?
$295 real cost about $500
It's a lot of money but considering what they quote to fix probably cheaper and it's original finish.
There is a difference in colour, probably fade but then there's several mismatched panels but over all th epaint work is really good just the car has been abused and ented a lot.
got any tips for aligning the door? hit a problem there, may have to hire a professional to finish it.

The colours might match better after a polish and wax :undecided:

As silly as it sounds give the hinges a whack with a rubber mallet of swing on the door a bit... My Stepdad had a panel shop as part of his motor dealership when I was a kid and they used to be fairly heavy handed to get things lined up... :undecided:

Get a professional detailer to do the correction work on your color matching...... if you give me your area I might be able to help you with someone

It appears 2009 MAD is different to 2010 MAD and then we have N5S all of these are called Hyper Silver.
It's a 2009 Door on a 2010 Built car.. bugger. I'll live with it

Already pretty polished up. Afraid it looks like there was a variant between 2009 and 2010. Only 3 months apart production wise.

We used to have a sky blue 2006 getz and there seemed to be a variation in that colour (some definitely seemed a shade or two different to ours)

I can confirm from a lot of time on research to colour match Firty's body kit that 09 and 10 MADs are different.
Confusing, innit? It's enough to make you ... well ... mad.

Yes, drove the supercheap guy MAD with touch up paint last night. grabbed the 2009 and 2010 variants. As touchup neither seem a brilliant match.
Unfortunately once I spot a difference or flaw it drives me crazy as I keep focusing on it. That's where she who must be obeyed helps and tells me how good it is.
