I am really happy with my purchase, satnav works great but how do I turn it off when I reach my destination? Not much fun getting in the next day and being told turn right etc etc. ad infinitum. I feel a real dill asking this.

Many of our long term active members don't have models with a sat nav, including me, so please be patient until a member who has one sees your post. Could be a day or two... (strange it doesn't tell you in the manual?)

when you get there it will say have you reached your destination...yes...no....do you wish to save your route.....yes...no.....then next should come up to cancel route.......yes.....cancel route.....press....change back to radio..... :victory:

Sometimes when I am on my way home and in familiar territory and it is save to do so I will tap (menu ) and then ( my route ) and tap ( cancel route ) and then go to the radio.

Hey :wlcome01:
On my 2014 Style Nav (UK) system I hit the Nav button and there's an option to Stop Guidance.
More than likely it's different on yours, but hey - you did ask :D

Welcome Marion, hope the info here helps you.
I'm thinking they make driverless car's, but GPS's, still no brain of there own. they should be programmed so when you reach designation they know that's it turn off.

My Garmin usually does. If I drive right up to or past the destination...
