i30manUK, did you notice the lack of underseal, i.e. black paint, in the wheel well, rear off side wheel.  The place directly above the exhaust mainfold.

I presume it's because of the exhaust and the heat it gives off but on other cars I've had it has never been a problem.

Anyone else any reasonable explaination for this area not being undersealed?

Man thats a dodgey place to put the axle stands, wouldnt take much for the car to slip off i'd reckon.

i would say it's ok, just to keep the car high enough to take pic's under it, the suspension would be at full travel down.
drive on ramps would be safer.
