Hi guys
i just got a letter from my dealership that i can come by and get my ecu updated.... i was just wondering if any of u guys had this done before ?
im gonna call em later hear whats it all about?!

yeah well im just wondering why they r sending those invites.. i just talked the manager of the dealership and he tells me that he dont know if mine needs to be updated.. only when i get the obd tester on they can tell me if i need a update or not... and the most stupid thing about it is that this offer only stand this sunday.. i live 60km from the dealer... after that they will charge me if i wanna get a update... bastards! will cost me about 80 dollars :eek: :eek: :eek:
so now im wondering if i should go and check it out sunday.. :question:

On the Kia Ceed there was a hickup issue, that was solved with an ECU software upgrade.

I thought it was common automotive practice to update the "software" (I assume we are not talking about a physical chip change) whenever a vehicle is serviced,.

Last two services I've had I asked them to check for ECU/BCM updates. None were shown, they said on both occasions
