Title: Fan Direction options not working and only Hot Air
Post by: astn945 on January 22, 2017, 13:35:14
My 2007 i30 recently suffered a flat battery. Since putting a new battery on I can no longer change the blower direction setting. The setting that is selected would normally have a green light on it. None of the buttons have a light on. The A/C won't come on and regardless of whether I have the heat set to hot or cold, it only blows out hot air. What can a flat battery have done to cause this to happen? Any idea? Thanks (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170122/1978f1d3a73a507779cb6a85a9293ff9.jpg)

Sounds like the Body Control Module (BCM) needs a kick up the jacksy.

Unfortunately, this means disconnecting the -ve battery terminal for an hour or so, then reconnecting.

Costs little to try...

I'll have a check of those in the morning when I've got some daylight. Someone else said about disconnecting the battery as well so I'll give that a try. Thanks

Yes, one or t'other should fix it hopefully. I also thought of a fuse before I saw any other posts. Assume there are two fuses that need checking, one in the box under the dash and another in the engine compartment.

Was the original battery in good condition or has there been an electrical fault
