Title: Disabling auto central locking
Post by: rcflyers on June 20, 2017, 05:30:55
Is there any way to switch off the automatic central loking?
i.e. if I unlock the car and then don't open a door the car locks itself again after about 30 seconds.
I would like to unlock the car using the remote key fob and it to remain unlocked.

You definitely can switch that off, but I think you need to get the dealer to do it in the FD (if I remember correctly).

Fairly sure you can do it yourself in the GD.

Will need the dealer to login into the car and deactivate it on FD

Yep, it's a software option, alongside the Halo setting.

Personally I think it's a highly useful feature to have enabled.

Your query isn't really related to this topic - better to start your own 'Halo' thread (or try a search - it's been covered before) :D

I'm not sure what the op wants can be done.
I know you can alter the auto door locking from not active to locking at 15 or 40 kph. But he's asking to disable the auto relock after 30 seconds if a door isn't opened.
I don't recall ever seeing that could be done.
It may well be doable but it's a dangerous idea imho. If you really want to leave your car unlocked, why not just not lock it in the first place? Or press unlock, then open and shut a door.

Yep, I'ver been back and read it properly and like others had completely misread the question <sigh>   I think I'll go back to bed and start the day again  :faint:
