Thanks for replies very much appreciated. Yes very pleased with it.  The only thing that i will say is that the clocks speedo etc are very dark but to bring up the true colour you have to put on the lights even during the day. Wish i could have them illuminated without lights on.

Yes, that was something I noticed with that model. They are illuminated by default without needing the lights on in series 2 (GD) and Series 3 (PD) models.

I tended to leave my lights on in winter particularly when I had my 2008 FD Crdi SLX. As you know they go off by themselves when you lock the car. You get added safety while driving in overcast conditions as well.

The only negative is a little more kikely to blow a globe prematurely and a bit more load on the battery when starting the car with them on. You can of course just turn them on when you are driving on dark days.

Yes getting used to putting them on during the day as I think the dash area looks great lit up. Now coming up to 18,000 miles family member previous owner did very  few miles so still running in as they used to say. I can remember owners of new cars years and years ago putting notice in rear window "RUNNING IN PLEASE PASS". Those were the days.

Is this where I mention still limiting my revs to 1500 until Firty reaches normal temperature?

Going back to the old times you never see now the one with " TAX IN POST " this now is no good since they abolished the tax disc in the uk. Kept a load of my old ones going back years. Other people selling them on EBay. I now display an old one from 1944 my year of birth with my Hyundai details written on. Looks great.    :goodjob2: :goodjob:

!944 tax disc one of different ones I have.  I have yet to photoshop the downward 1954 into 1944. Puts your favourite tax disc holder back into life and different colours to use when sunlight fades them.
