Hi,

My i30 ECU was damaged after car accident so I need to change it with the new one.

Can I add ECU with different part number from i30 with the same engine and gearbox?

I've heard it's 90% that it should fit.

More information.

Like part number of yours, model and spec of your,

model and spec of donor,  part number of replacement.

You will have to access it and reprogram to match all the other modules and the transponder of your key I would expect.

Will you have the access pin of the donor .

Never done this personally.

As a rule of thumb I don't even try unless the part number matches.
