Title: Intermittent electronic beeps

Hi all, I have a 2013 i30 elite 5dr & recently an incredibly annoying electronic beeping noise has been occurring every time I'm driving for the past 4-5 mths. The sound comes through the speakers interrupting anything else that I'm listening to whether it's radio or podcast etc. The radio & podcast is completely blocked out when the beeps come through. Sometimes there are one or two, other times 5 or 6. And it happens numerous times whilst driving I thought it might have been something to do with my iPhone & picking up reception signals but it still happens when I don't have my phone in the car

Hoping someone out there can help. It's driving me nuts!!!

Hi Shazzz,
If you go to "non fuel specific " section and open that section,  you'll see that someone else  (metalboy1 ?)has /had similar noises.

Welcome Shazzz,

Have you inadvertently activated an over speed alert or something? I have never bothered using that function but I believe some models have it. I think you set it for 80 kph or 100 kph and then you get some beeps whenever you exceed that preset speed. Check in your owners manual how to set/unset and see what mode it's in.. :idea:
