Hi,

I have a 2013 i30 and I would like to know if someone has tried Mirrorlink or Easyconnect to work on the head-units (which I believe runs on WinCE).

I saw some videos on youtube that the newer WinCE head-units has a built-in Mirrorlink or Easyconnect where in users can simply plug their Android or IOS phones on the USB port and phone screen gets mirrored on the head-unit screen with full touch screen function.

If anyone has done this successfully, please share your experience.

Only way that I know that successful works is with a jail broken iDevice and the cydia app NGXPlay. It is a tweak with CarPlay allowing you to have apps which Apple have deemed it not necessary/safe/whatever to have on the CarPlay system ie- YouTube, games, waze and so on. It's not MirrorLink but pretty cool nonetheless. Peak hour traffic doesn't have to be boring anymore ....
