Hey guys new to the forum and currently in Perth wa .
Decided to take on the serpentine belts myself as I couldn't find much info.
But here is what I did ..
- jacked up the car on stands
- remove drivers side wheel
- removed the splash guard (10mm socket & a Phillips screw driver)
- disconnect alternator plug
- removed alternator adjuster bolt and middle bolt with a 12mm socket
- now remove the alternator pivot nut which is directly next to the oil filter.
- from there you should be able to push the alternator inwards to remove the tension
- pop off the belt
2nd belt
-look for the pulley just under your aircon unit and you should be able to put a 14mm spanner on it.
- behind that pulley towards your cv there is an adjuster that you unwind to remove the tension which i used a 12mm socket to the job.
- once you remove the belt you reverse the process and then everything should be back together .
Remember to mark your locations to help with the tensioning .
Hope this helps
