Title: Aftermarket head unit for i30 GD Style - Fascia problem
Post by: alesnav on September 24, 2017, 17:32:40
Hi there!

I have a little problem trying to install an aftermarket 2DIN head unit to replace the OEM Navigator.

Every fascia that I see fits Hyundai i30 GD but without OEM navigator. Do you know any fascia that fits Hyundai i30 GD Style (with OEM navi).

This is the front panel of a i30 GD Turbo (and Style):

And this other is the front panel of a i30 GD without navi:

where to host images (https://imgbb.com/)

Finally, this is one of the fascias I found (fits just the second one, I mean, i30 without navi) - CT23HY31:

As you can see, the fascia of the head unit is not the same... How can I solve this?

Thanks!

The radio´s are interchangeable..Why shouldnt the facias be? I dont see anything on facias that doesnt belong to the radiounit itself on the pics?

Ok, I will try to explain this problem from the other side.

This is the heater controls trim from a Hyundai i30 GD with navigator:
(https://preview.ibb.co/gpE8r5/57.jpg) (https://ibb.co/ePMXJk)

And this other one is from a Hyundai i30 GD without navigator:

As  you can see, the top of these parts are not the same. So, my problem is that my head unit (OEM navi) has not the same bottom trim than nono-navi head unit (as shown in the first post).

I think that maybe I can change this heater control trim, but I don't have the P/N and I would need neither of the above trims. I'd need the shape from the first one (three holes in the bottom right), but with the top shape of the second one... hehe

Thanks!

There 2 heater controls trims
1) for clima
2) for aircondition

and so there are 2 trims for navi
1) with clima
2) with aircondition

I think that I need a heater control trim for clima and no navigator. Where can I ver its part number?

Now, I have a trim for clima and navigator.

@Dazzler you're writing cheques my brain can't cash.

I had a quick look and the fascias are not shown as separate items for either the head unit or the Heater controls

Hmmm, then... there is no P/N for the heater controls trim, because 97250A is the whole unit. Is it right?

Thanks!

That's how I see it, otherwise enquire at a Hyundai dealer.  Or find a wreck for used parts.
